Responsible Gaming

At GRP (casinogrp.uk), we believe that gambling should be an enjoyable leisure activity. We are fully committed to providing a safe, fair, and transparent environment for all our players. This Responsible Gaming Policy outlines the measures we have in place to help you stay in control, recognise the signs of problem gambling, and access support when needed.

This document forms part of a suite of legal and compliance pages. Please also refer to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy for full details of your rights and obligations when using our platform.

18+ Only: Our platform is strictly for adults aged 18 years and over. Gambling is not an appropriate activity for children or young people. If you feel that gambling is no longer enjoyable or is becoming a problem, please seek help immediately.

1. Our Commitment

1.1. Responsible Gaming as a Core Value

GRP treats responsible gaming not as a regulatory box to be ticked, but as a fundamental principle embedded in every aspect of our operations. We recognise that, for a small proportion of our customers, gambling can escalate from entertainment into a harmful pattern of behaviour. Our duty is to provide every practical safeguard to prevent and mitigate that harm.

1.2. What We Are Committed To

  • Providing clear, accessible, and effective player protection tools within your account settings at all times.
  • Ensuring that gambling on our platform remains a voluntary, informed, and controlled activity.
  • Proactively monitoring player activity for indicators of potentially harmful behaviour and taking appropriate action.
  • Making it easy to set limits on your deposits, losses, wagers, and playing time before you begin or at any point during your use of the platform.
  • Maintaining a straightforward and immediately effective self-exclusion process.
  • Ensuring that our platform is never accessible to persons under the age of 18.
  • Providing clear signposting to free, independent, and confidential support organisations.
  • Training our customer support team to identify and respond sensitively to customers who may be showing signs of gambling-related distress.

1.3. Nature of Gambling

It is important to understand that all gambling products carry an inherent house edge. Casino games are games of chance — outcomes are determined by certified random number generators and are entirely unpredictable. No strategy, system, or past result can guarantee a win. Gambling should never be used as a method of generating income, solving financial difficulties, or recovering previous losses.

2. Recognising Problem Gambling

2.1. What Is Problem Gambling?

Problem gambling is characterised by a persistent and recurring inability to resist the urge to gamble, even when this causes significant negative consequences to the individual or to those around them. It can affect people of any background, age, or level of experience. Many people who develop a gambling problem are unaware of it in its early stages, which is why self-awareness and honest self-assessment are so important.

2.2. Self-Assessment Checklist

Review the following statements honestly. If you answer yes to one or more of these, we strongly encourage you to use our player protection tools or seek support from one of the organisations listed in Section 6.

  • I spend more money or time gambling than I originally planned.
  • I gamble with money that should be used for household bills, rent, food, or other essential expenses.
  • I find myself chasing losses — continuing to gamble in an attempt to recover money I have already lost.
  • I feel anxious, irritable, or restless when I try to cut back or stop gambling.
  • I have lied to family members, friends, or colleagues about the extent of my gambling activity.
  • I have borrowed money, sold possessions, or sought other financial means specifically to fund gambling.
  • Gambling has begun to interfere with my work, studies, relationships, or other important commitments.
  • I use gambling as a primary way to escape stress, anxiety, depression, or other difficult emotions.
  • I have previously tried to stop or reduce my gambling but have been unable to do so successfully.
  • I have experienced feelings of guilt or shame following a gambling session.

Important: Ticking even one or two of the above does not automatically mean you have a serious problem, but it is a meaningful signal. Acting early is far easier than addressing entrenched patterns. Please contact us or one of the support organisations in Section 6 for confidential guidance.

3. Player Protection Tools

GRP provides a comprehensive suite of player protection tools accessible directly from your account dashboard. These tools are designed to give you full control over your gambling activity. We strongly encourage all players to configure these settings from the moment they register.

3.1. Deposit Limits

You may set a daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limit to cap the amount of funds you transfer into your GRP account within the specified period.

  • Increasing a limit: Any request to increase a deposit limit is subject to a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period before it takes effect. This delay is intentional and designed to prevent impulsive decisions made during a gaming session.
  • Decreasing a limit: Reductions take effect immediately.
  • Once a limit is reached, no further deposits will be accepted until the period resets or you have submitted and completed a valid modification request.

3.2. Loss Limits

A loss limit caps the maximum net loss you may sustain within a given daily, weekly, or monthly period. Once your loss limit is reached, your account will be temporarily restricted from further wagering for the remainder of that period. The same 24-hour delay applies to any increase.

3.3. Wager / Stake Limits

You may define a maximum stake per bet or spin. This prevents individual wagers from exceeding a threshold you have determined to be comfortable and affordable for you.

3.4. Session Time Limits & Reality Checks

You can set a maximum session duration, after which your session will automatically end and you will be logged out. In addition, reality check notifications can be configured to appear at regular intervals (e.g., every 30, 60, or 90 minutes), reminding you of the time you have spent playing and prompting you to review your activity and decide whether to continue.

3.5. Cooling-Off Period

If you need a short break without committing to a full self-exclusion, you may request a cooling-off period of a defined duration (typically between 24 hours and 6 weeks). During a cooling-off period:

  • Your account will be suspended and you will be unable to log in or place bets.
  • You will not receive any promotional communications from GRP.
  • The period cannot be shortened once activated.

3.6. Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion is a formal measure that allows you to request that your account be blocked for a minimum period of 6 months, with options extending to 1 year, 5 years, or indefinitely. Once activated:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended and all access will be blocked.
  • Any remaining account balance will be returned to you in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
  • You will be removed from all marketing communications.
  • The exclusion period cannot be reversed early under any circumstances.
  • To request self-exclusion, contact our support team at [email protected] or use the self-exclusion function within your account settings.

3.7. GAMSTOP — National Self-Exclusion Scheme

In addition to self-exclusion with GRP directly, we strongly recommend registering with GAMSTOP (gamstop.co.uk), the UK's free national online self-exclusion scheme. Registering with GAMSTOP instructs all participating licensed UK operators to block your account simultaneously — you do not have to contact each operator individually. Exclusions through GAMSTOP are available for a minimum of six months, with one-year and five-year options also available.

3.8. Account Closure

You may close your account permanently at any time by contacting our support team. Please indicate clearly whether the closure is for responsible gaming reasons, as this information allows us to handle your request with appropriate sensitivity and care, including ensuring you are removed from all future marketing lists.

4. Tips for Responsible Gambling

4.1. Before You Play

  • Set a budget before you begin. Decide in advance how much money and time you are willing to spend, and treat it as the cost of entertainment — not an investment.
  • Configure your limits via your account dashboard before making your first deposit. Doing so when you are not mid-session is far easier and more rational.
  • Only gamble with funds you can afford to lose. Never use money earmarked for rent, bills, food, savings, or other essential outgoings.
  • Understand that gambling outcomes are random and unpredictable. There is no system or strategy that can overcome the house edge over the long term.

4.2. While You Play

  • Take regular breaks. Use the reality check feature to remind yourself to step away and reflect on your session.
  • Never chase losses. Attempting to recover money you have lost by placing further bets is one of the most recognised markers of harmful gambling behaviour.
  • Do not gamble when you are emotionally distressed, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or when you are tired. Sound decision-making is essential.
  • Keep gambling in perspective: it is entertainment, not a way to make money or relieve financial pressure.
  • Be aware of how much time you are spending. Use session limits to enforce boundaries that you have set for yourself.

4.3. Keeping Track

  • Review your transaction and activity history regularly, available in your account dashboard. Honest reflection on how much you have deposited, wagered, and won or lost provides a clear picture of your gambling habits.
  • Talk to someone you trust. Discussing your gambling openly with a family member or friend can provide perspective and accountability.
  • If you are concerned about a friend or family member's gambling, guidance for those affected by someone else's gambling is available from the organisations listed in Section 6.

5. Protection of Minors

5.1. Strict Age Verification

Gambling on GRP is strictly prohibited for persons under the age of 18. We take our obligations to prevent underage gambling with the utmost seriousness. All players are required to complete a robust age and identity verification process (Know Your Customer — KYC) before they are permitted to deposit funds or access real-money games. No real-money gameplay is authorised until this verification is satisfactorily completed.

5.2. Monitoring and Enforcement

In addition to our initial KYC checks, we conduct ongoing monitoring of player accounts. Where we have any reasonable suspicion that a registered user may be under the age of 18, we reserve the right to immediately suspend the account pending further verification. Any account found to belong to a minor will be closed immediately and all funds returned.

5.3. Parental Controls and Filtering Software

If there are children or young people in your household, we strongly recommend the use of internet filtering software to prevent access to gambling websites. The following tools are freely available and can help block gambling-related content on shared or family devices:

  • GamBan — gamban.com — blocks gambling sites across all devices on which it is installed.
  • Net Nanny — netnanny.com — comprehensive parental control software with content filtering.
  • Gamblock — gamblock.com — dedicated gambling-blocking software for PCs, Macs, and mobile devices.
  • Circle — meetcircle.com — network-level parental controls for the whole household.

We also encourage you to keep your GRP account credentials — including your username and password — strictly confidential and never share them with a minor or any other person.

5.4. Responsibility of Account Holders

It is the sole responsibility of the registered account holder to ensure that no minor gains access to their account. GRP will not be liable for any consequences arising from a failure by the account holder to maintain the security of their login credentials. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for further detail.
